What to do and see near us

Sicily is rich in history and ancient architecture. With it's mix of cultural heritages, a stunning sight is never further than a street away.

Trappitello is part of the town of Taormina. It is situated in the calm (but still full of life) side of the hill, where you will find everything you will need during your stay.

On the mountain of Tauromenium you will find the historical center or Taormina with its stunning Greek-Roman Theatre with an amazing view over the bay of Giardini Naxos, the Etna and the Mediterranean Sea.

Giardini Naxos, 5 minutes away, was the first Greek colony in Sicily, here you will find remnants of one of the oldest settlements of the Island. Next to that, Giardini is also known for its long beaches and nightlife. Something for everybody.

A trip to the Etna is not far away. You can get there with your own car, but to go to the very top, you will need to take a special All Terrain Vehicle which will bring you to the top of Europe's most active volcano. An experience you will never forget!

Another nearby must-visit, is Gole Alcantara. A beautiful stream that cuts through ancient lava flows. You can do guided tours, or just rent some high boots and take up the fast flowing stream yourself.

Even in the winter the weather is very nice... Up to 25-28 C in the sunshine!!!
